In Bihar's Motihari region, six people died whereas 10 fell ill after they consumed spurious drink. As per sources, the ill people are admitted to hospital after drinking spurious liquor in Motihari, Bihar. In the incident, the Bihar Police have arrested seven people and an investigation has been launched. Jayant Kant, DIG, Champaran Range confirmed the updates and launched an investigation.

While six have been admitted to a hospital for treatment, several others are in a critical condition. A probe is underway, and further details are awaited. Over a week ago, four people died after consuming spurious liquor in West Bengal's Bardhaman district.
Bihar government on November 5, reported three more deaths due to consuming "spurious liquor" in the Bettiah district, reaching the death toll to 13 in a month. As per the district magistrate's statement, seven people were hospitalized after allegedly consuming the poisonous liquor. Reportedly, the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has said that the government will be taking strict actions against the people who are involved.
