US Will Not Return Spy Balloon Debris To China

The United States of America Government denied to return the spy balloon debris to China. On February 7, John Kirby, the National Security Council Spokesperson said, "They have recovered some remnants off the surface of the sea and weather conditions did not permit much undersea surveillance of the debris field." In addition, the Chinese Government said, the balloon was nothing but a way to observe US weather.

US Shoots Down Chinese Spy Balloon, Impacts China-Washington Relation

US fighter jet F-22 Raptor fired a missile and downed a suspected spy balloon from China, confirmed local sources. The US Navy is currently conducting recovery operations, with the Coast Guard assisting in securing the area. Meanwhile, the operation has seriously impacted and damaged" relations of China with Washington, said the Chinese Government. Meanwhile, with this shooting down spy balloon, a danger in the US has been avoided.

US Top Officials Postpones Visit To China Amid Spy Balloon

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken postponed a visit to China, confirmed sources on February 5. The cancellation was in the view of a suspected spy balloon tracked flying across the United States in what Washington called a "clear violation" of US sovereignty.  We are seeing reports of a balloon transiting Latin America. We now assess it is another Chinese surveillance balloon," Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder.
