SC Forms 3-Member Committee To Probe Pegasus Snooping Row
The Supreme Court on October 27 decided to form a three-member committee to probe the ''falsity and discover the truth'' of the Pegasus spyware matter. The committee will be headed by former SC Judge RV Raveendran. The Court also said that it is a matter of ''Right to Privacy violation'' and it ''needs to be examined''. Reportedly, the government is accused of spying on eminent personalities using Israeli spyware Pegasus.

SC To Declare Verdict On Pegasus Snooping Matter On Oct 27
The Supreme Court is set to declare its verdict on several pleas demanding an independent probe in connection with the pegasus snooping matter on October 27. The court had reserved its order on the pleas on September 13 after receiving the Centre's response. However, the Centre had denied filing a detailed affidavit. Reportedly, government agencies are accused of using Israeli spyware Pegasus to spy on eminent personalities.

SC Instructs Centre To Respond As Petitioners Request To Probe Pegasus Spy Row
The Supreme Court has directed the Centre to respond within 10 days as several petitioners demanded ''court-monitored probe'' in a pegasus spy row on August 17. Following this, the apex court will also decide if the government's demand will be accepted to form an expert committee to submit a report to it. As a court, SC does not compromise national security but ''people are alleging hacking of their phones''.
