Sreesanth: Used to pay ₹2.5-lakh bills when I partied, why'd I fix match for ₹10 lakh

While speaking about the IPL spot-fixing scandal at Sportskeeda, former Indian cricketer Sreesanth said, "I was supposed to give 14 runs in one over and I gave five runs in four balls. No no-ball, no wide." He added, "I was trying to make a comeback to the national squad. I used to pay ₹2.5-lakh bills when I partied. Why'd I fix a match for ₹10 lakh?"

Sreesanth Set To Return In Professional Cricket Arena After 7 Years

Fast bowler S Sreesanth, who was suspended from cricket for spot-fixing, is ready to make his comeback in professional cricket after seven years. The Kerala-based cricketer will play in President's Cup T20, a domestic tournament by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), in December. KCA President Sajan K Varghese stated that Sreesanth would be an "attraction" for the tournament, which is yet to seek a nod from the state government.

Sreesanth's 7-year Ban Over; Plans to Resume Career

Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth's seven-year ban on account of alleged spot-fixing ended on September 13. The 37-year-old said, he has 5-7 years of cricket left in him and is planning to resume his domestic career. Sreesanth was accused of spot-fixing which happened during the IPL 2013, leading to his 'ban for a lifetime', which was later reduced to seven years by the BCCI last year.
