India Will Continue Its Support To Sri Lanka: Gopal Baglay
The Indian Government assured full support to the economic crisis-hit nation, Sri Lanka. On July 21, the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay said, "We'll continue to be supportive of the requirements of the people of Sri Lanka." Furthermore, he highlighted that Sri Lanka is the closest friend of India, and India has rendered a kind of support which has not been given to any other nation.

Unable To Bear Economic Crisis, 8 Sri Lankans Flee To India
Many Sri Lankans fleeing the crisis-hit island republic, arrived in India's Tamil Nadu, on July 5, confirmed the police. Approximately eight persons, including children, belonging to two families, landed here, as couldn't handle the crisis in Sri Lanka. They travelled to India through waterways and were spotted by fishermen, who later informed the marine police. Furthermore, with this, so far 105 Sri Lankans arrived in India.
