UP Government Forms 2 Member High-Level Committee To Investigate Vrindavan Temple Stampede

The investigation into the August 20 stampede at the historic Bankey Bihari temple in Mathura was launched on August 25 by a two-member high-level committee appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government. On August 20, a stampede at the Bankey Bihari temple in Vrindavan killed two pilgrims and wounded seven more. The investigation committee is scheduled to present its results to the administration within 15 days.

People Die In Khatu Shyam Ji Mela, Several Severely Injured

In Rajasthan's Sikar, three people have died and several have been injured at Khatu Shyamji Temple. The incident happened amid a stampede-like situation, occurred during a monthly fair, on August 8.  Notably, two injured people were referred to a hospital in Jaipur. Furthermore, police were present at the spot and trying to control the situation. This is a developing story, details are awaited.

Stampede Occurs At Khatu Shyamji Temple In Rajasthan's Sikar; 3 Dead, 2 Injured

In Rajasthan's Sikar, three persons were killed and two were injured at a stampede at the Khatu Shyamji Temple on August 7. Reportedly, the two injured persons have been admitted to a hospital in Jaipur. The stampede reportedly took place at around 5 am, and all three deceased were women. Immediately after the incident, police rushed to the spot, and controlled the crowd.

3 Injured In Stampede-Like Situation At Tirumala Shrine

Many have been injured in a stampede-like situation at the Tirumala shrine, following a heavy rush of pilgrims on April 13. According to reports, a large crowd of pilgrims gathered at the ticket counter in the shrine to secure Sarvadarshan tickets, which led to the stampede-like situation. Notably, the temple is committed to God Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared to save mankind.
