Women's Panel Issues Notice To SBI Over 'Unfit Pregnant Women' Guidelines: Delhi

The DCW has issued a notice to the SBI for stopping a three-month pregnant woman from joining work. Swati Maliwal, the chairperson of the commission, termed the rule as 'discriminatory and illegal'. The panel asked SBI to explain the process of formation of guidelines and, provide names of officials who approved them. The decision is contrary to maternity benefits provided under the Code of Social Security, 2020, stated the commission.

SBI Youth Offers Fellowship To Help Underprivileged, Invites Applications

In a bid to better the lives of marginalised rural people, the CSR arm of SBI, State Bank of India Youth for India (SBI-YFI), is offering a unique fellowship program. The organisation is accepting applications for an 11-month programme, where the candidates, after selection, will work in the field. Organised in a partnership with NGOs, the initiative aims to empower rural India by providing basic amenities like water and electricity.
