Telangana Government's undertaking, the installation of a 125-ft tall statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar will take 15 months to complete. Reportedly, the statue will come up in 11.4 acres of land in Hyderabad near Hussain Sagar Lake in the city. However, the complex would also house a museum, library, conference hall, and other facilities. Moreover, Seminars, workshops, and skill development classes will also be conducted in the complex.

The High Commission of India (HCI), London, with the support of London Metropolitan Police, has recovered three statues dating to Vijayanagara period. Reportedly, the statues were stolen from Vishnu Temple, Nagapattinam in 1978.
