Supreme Court Issues Status Quo On Gyanvapi Mosque Survey By ASI

The Supreme  Court (SC) put a status-quo and said, " No excavation.. No invasive method." until we hear the plea. Notably, the Gyanvapi Mosque Management board moved the Apex Court, against the orders of the Varanasi Court, which allowed the Archeological team to inspect and survey the mosque, to find the truth behind the claims of the mosque having Hindu ancients. The court will hear the plea, on July 24.

SC Extends Status Quo On Jahangirpuri Demolition Drive Till Further Orders

The Supreme Court (SC) extended the status-quo on the demolition in the Jahangirpuri region of North Delhi till further orders. On April 21, the Apex Court bench led by Justice L Nageswar Rao, and Justice BR Gavai issued the orders, with the warning of serious consequences. The court was hearing a petition filed by Jamiat-Ulama- I-Hind,  raising questions about the demolition drive's legality and listed the matter after two weeks.

China Says Gen Rawat's Border Status Quo Changing Allegation Untrue

Chinese military on April 29 described Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat's assertion of China trying to change the status quo in eastern Ladakh as "completely inconsistent with the facts". The statement came days after General Rawat said that India is firm in preventing a change of status quo on borders. He said that India will not succumb to pressure with the technological advantages of China trying to irk India.

Kolkata: Activist Madhu Kishwar Booked For Spreading Misinofrmation

Activist-academician Madhu Kishwar was booked by the Kolkata Police's IT Unit on November 9 for "spreading misinformation" on Twitter. Reportedly, she shared a video of an "Islamic rally" that happened in Bangladesh but alleged it had happened in Kolkata.
