Amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine war and conflict, a couple, who travelled from Thiruvananthapuram to Israel last month to visit their daughter, Anagha, are now stranded They have mix emotion, as they are relieved to be with Anaha, who is pursuing her PhD at Bar Ilan University in Tel Aviv, but tensed as they are in a war zone. They planned to return to India but due to flight cancellation.

She had traveled there to participate in the Haifa International Film Festival.” As per the information provided by her team, the last contact with her was around 12:30 p.m. on October 7.

Odisha Coast Guard Rescues 12 Stranded Fishermen From Coast

In Odisha, approximately 12 fishermen stranded in the sea for over 12 hours were rescued, confirmed Odisha police, on June 17. As per PTI, the Coast Guard and Odisha Police conducted search operations and saved fishermen. Furthermore, one crew member of the fishing vessel, which went missing on June 16, is still missing. The officials are continuing their search operation, and bring back all the members safe to harbour.

21 Indian Sailors Stranded In Black Sea Amid Russia-Ukraine War

At least 21 Indian sailors are currently waiting to leave the port of Southern Ukraine's Mykolaiv, as per sources. In addition, the Indian sailors are trapped in the cargo ship since February 25 due to the blockade in the area after the war. "It is not safe to step out of the port. Travel by road is not advisable,'' stated a crew member.

Flood In Bangladesh Claims 20 Lives; 300,000 People Stranded

Torrential rainfall resulting in floods has claimed 20 lives including six Rohingya refugees while over 300,000 people are being stranded in Southeast Bangladesh. Reportedly, as many as 36,000 people have been shifted to schools and cyclone centres. "Many homes are waterlogged. Thousands of people have not been able to get out for the last three days. The roads are all blocked,” said Tipu Sultan, a councillor in Jhilwanja Union.
