JNU Hostels' Poor Infrastructure Is Danger To Students, Lacks Basic Facilities
One of the most prestigious universities in India, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is having extremely poor conditions for its students. In a media interview, a student Umesh Chandra Ajmeera, who was luckily saved after a chunk of plaster fell on him, said “We are living in very poor condition. Maharashtra Teacher Charged For Dismissing Class 10 Student
A private school teacher charged for caning a Class 10 pupil and breaking his hand in Maharashtra's Thane. Police launched a case on August 27 under section 325 (voluntarily causing severe harm) of IPC, based on a complaint filed by the wounded student's parents. The 15-year-old youngster had a disagreement with a classmate, who complained to the instructor. The accused then caned the victim, causing his wrist to swell.

NIT-Srinagar Instructs Students Not To Watch India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 Cricket Match In Groups
National Institute of Technology in Srinagar instructed its students not to watch India-Pakistan Asia Cup cricket match in groups or post about it on social media on August 28. Dean instructed students remain in their assigned rooms throughout the match. If students are caught then students assigned to that room will be prohibited from institute dorm and fine of at least Rs 5,000 would be levied on all students involved.

Students Develop Mumbai's 1st Live Streaming Azaan App, 'Al-Islaah,' Amid Loudspeaker Dispute
Four third-year IT undergraduate students from Maharashtra College started developing the azaan (call to prayer) app "Al-Islaah" in an effort to settle the loudspeaker dispute constructively. In the midst of the boiling debate about 'azaan' over loudspeakers, which has silenced many peace activists, the students released this app on August 24 that focuses on live streaming azaan.
