Haryana Official Arrested For Taking Bribe In Yamunanagar
In Haryana's Yamunanagar district, the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau arrested Rajni Kant, Sub-Inspector of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumers Affairs Department for taking bribes. Sub-Inspector Arrested In Karnataka; Forced Minor Man To Drink Urine
Karnataka police arrested a sub-inspector on September 1 for forcing a Dalit man to ''lick urine on the floor''. Reportedly, the incident took place at Gonibeedu police station in Mudigere taluk on May 10. However, the victim was in custody based on villagers' oral complaints about creating confusion between a couple. Besides, the district court has sent the sub-inspector under 14 days of judicial custody on September 2.

Woman Who Sold Ice-Cream, Lemonade Joins Kerala Police
A woman at Kerala's Varkala is inspiring many young women after joining 'Varkala Police' as a sub-inspector against all odds of her life. The 31-year-old, Anie Siva used to sell lemonade and ice cream at Varkala along with her 6-month-old baby after being abandoned by her husband at the age of 18. ''Varkala is a place I shed many tears with my small child,'' said Inspector Siva.
