India, successfully test-fired a new version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile off the coast of Odisha, on January 20. The Missile is developed by India's DRDO and Russia's NPOM. It is a universal long-range supersonic cruise missile system that can be launched from land, sea, and air, as per sources. ''The missile was equipped with new technological developments which were successfully proven'', stated the Defence source.
