Operation Kaveri, 1st Batch Leaves Conflict Hit Sudan
The first group of Indians stranded in Sudan has left the conflict-hit nation in an Indian Navy warship for Saudi Arabia's Jeddah. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted photos of the Indians on board the INS Sumedha. Some held the national flag to thank the government for arranging for their evacuation. The evacuation is being held as Operation kaveri, launched and being held by the Union Government.

Indian Govt In Touch With Other Countries Amid Sudan Violence
India is coordinating closely with various countries to ensure the safety and security of Indian nationals in Sudan, amid the ongoing violence, which killed hundreds of people. Notably, the Union External Affairs Ministry is engaging with the Quartet countries of the US, UK, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which have a key role and ensured support. Moreover, a dedicated control room in Delhi is in touch with Embassy in Khartoum.

Indian Embassy In Sudan Issues Advisory For Indian Amid Violence
Amid the violence in Sudan, the Indian Embassy in Sudan advised Indians in the country to avoid venturing out. In an advisory, the Indian Embassy said, "Based on the latest inputs the fighting has not subsided on day two. We sincerely request all fellow Indians to continue stay where they are and not venture outside." The notice was issued after the capital city of Sudan reported violence attack.
