Late Jiah Khan's Mother Files Petition In Bombay HC Demanding Further CBI Investigation

Rabia Khan, mother of late Bollywood star Jiah Khan, has filed a petition in Bombay HC, appealing the ruling of a special Central Bureau of Probe (CBI) court dismissing her request for a new investigation into her daughter's murder. Khan filed a petition with the HC, asking for the trial court's judgment to be overturned. Despite wanting to undertake a further investigation, CBI did not contest the special court's ruling.

Distressed Mother Runs On Road After Hearing Son's Death

Following the suicide of her son, a 39-year-old Bengaluru woman Leelavathi gets hit by a car after she ran "hysterically on a busy street in Vijayanagar, West Bengaluru". Reportedly, the 20-year-old son, Mohan Gowda, and a first-year B.Com student hung himself at his Marenahalli residence on August 17 at 11 am. However, the mother could not be survived despite rushing her to the hospital.

22-Year-Old Engineer Dies At IIT Madras Campus; Police Suspects Suicide

A 22-year-old engineer was found dead on July 2 inside the campus of IIT Madras. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Unnikrishnan and was working as a project assistant at the University. “He has left a note saying he was unable to cope with work,” said an official. However, preliminary investigation suggests that it was a suicide. Besides, the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Dowry Death: Woman Dies By Suicide At Her In-Law's House

Vismaya V Nair, an Ayurveda doctor was found hanging at her in-law’s house in Kerala on June 21. However, it is an alleged case of death owing to dowry harassment. The 24-year-old doctor and Kiran Kumar were married in May 2020, and repeatedly tortured  by her husband. Several screenshots of her WhatsApp chat clarified that Kiran did not like the car worth Rs. 11 lakh gifted by Nair's father.

Delhi HC Asks Producers To Reply On Using Sushant Singh's Name In Films

The Delhi High Court on April 20 asked the filmmakers of upcoming films based on life of late Sushant Singh Rajput’s life to respond to his father’s plea. Delhi: Tattoo Artist Commits Suicide At Workplace

After facing an alleged financial harassment, a tattoo artist, identified as Naresh Chetiwal, committed suicide on October 27 at his workplace in South Extension of Delhi. The deceased's uncle, Amar Nath, said that the 36-year-old took the extreme step due to his landlord's "torturing". He also alleged that police was supporting the landlord accused. Meanwhile, the police informed that the investigation is underway.

Actor Akshat Utkarsh Commits Suicide In Mumbai 

Bihar's Muzaffarpur based actor Akshat Utkarsh allegedly committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on September 27. Senior Police Inspector of Amboli police station, Someshwar Kanthe, stated that the police have lodged an Accidental Death Record (ADR) and the matter is being probed. However, the preliminary enquiry and the autopsy reports did not hint any suspicious development, added the official.
