Jagdish Thakor To Be New Cong Chief, MLA Sukhram Rathva LoP: Gujarat
In Gujarat, the Congress party said it has decided to appoint Jagdish Thakor as new President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) and MLA Sukhram Rathva as Leader of Opposition (LoP). The positions were vacant for the last six months as Amit Chavda (GPCC) and Paresh Dhanani (LoP) resigned after the party's defeat in the local body election. Notably, the next election in Gujarat is scheduled for 2022.
