Nupur Sharma Summoned By Kolkata Police Over Controversial Remarks On Prophet Mohammad
Suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has been summoned by Kolkata police over her controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad in a TV debate. TMC's Abhishek Banerjee & Wife Issued Fresh Summons: Coal Scam Case
Trinamool Congress party's national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira Banerjee have been issued fresh summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to a money laundering case linked to an alleged coal scam. In addition, The move was taken after the high court rejected the plea of Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s nephew. Notably, ED had asserted that Banerjee had obtained funds from illegal trade.

Ashok Gehlot, Others Summoned In Phone-Tapping Case: Rajasthan
A Jaipur court has issued notices to CM Ashok Gehlot and other leaders in connection with a phone tapping case, during 2020 political crisis. In addition, the court asked them to appear before it on March 16. The notices were issued on the petition filed by advocate OP Solanki, on behalf of Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat, alleging Congress of tapping the phones of politicians, leaked by Lokesh Sharma.

Japan's Envoy Summoned By China After Ex-PM Abe's Remark On Taiwan
Following the remark of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe on Taiwan, China sent a summon to Japan's ambassador in Beijing for an ''emergency meeting'' on December 1. Reportedly, Abe said his country and the United States couldn't stand by if China attacked Taiwan. Japan's chief cabinet secretary Hirokazu Matsuno also said, ''There are people in Japan who have such opinion and Japan cannot accept China's one-sided view.''
