You Don't Take Rest In IPL, And Then Take Rest Playing For India: Sunil Gavaskar
Senior players can play IPL nonstop, why can't they play for the country, said legendary player Sunil Gavaskar, on July 12. In an urge to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to handle senior players, who were asking for rest ahead of the crucial matches and revise the policy. Responding to this, Gavaskar said, "T20I is a matter of 20 overs, doesn't take toll on your body".

Cricket Fraternity Extends Birthday Wishes To Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar is celebrating his 73rd birthday, on July 10. On this occasion, the former cricketers, Indian players and fans flooded social media with wishes for the veteran. Gavaskar, better known as 'Sunny' and 'Little Master', was a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning team. He also played 125 Test matches and scored 10,122 runs. He was also the first batsman to score 10,000 Test runs.

Sunil Gavaskar Says Anushka Sharma Misinterpreted His Comments
Veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on September 25 denied blaming Anushka Sharma for her husband Virat Kohli's poor performance in an IPL match. He also said that his comments were being misinterpreted as sexist remarks. IPL 2020: Sunil Gavaskar Slams the Tournament Criticizers, Calls them "Jealous"
Former Indian Cricket team Captain, Sunil Gavaskar in an interview with India Today, took a dig at the people who criticize the IPL tournament by saying, "People who don't benefit from the IPL always criticize the cash-rich tournament". Gavaskar while praising the tournament stated, IPL is a "cottage industry" which not only benefits the players but also those who are associated with it.
