Japan To Close Tokyo Games By Quenching Olympics Flame
Japan will quench the Olympic flame after more than a year on August 8, closing one of the biggest and most controversial events in the pandemic so far. Unlike the last Tokyo Games in 1964, this year's Olympics lacked electric energy and remained far from being a financial success for the host nation. Nevertheless, the organizers' efforts to prevent the event of 50,000 from becoming Covid-19 superspreaders were applaudable.
