World's First 3D-Printed 'Living Ear' Implanted Onto Patient With Microtia
A 3D-printed "living ear" was surgically implanted into a patient who was born with malformed ear. The operation will provide the woman with a fully developed ear manufactured from her own cells. It is still undergoing different safety inspections. 3D Bio is the biotechnology business that developed this process. "We believe this is the first time that a company has printed a whole, living body part," stated CEO Dan Cohen.

MNS Chief Raj Thackeray To Undergo Surgery For Back, Knee Pain
MNS President Raj Thackeray announced that he will undergo surgery on June 1. However, during a rally, he said, his party will continue 'anti-loudspeakers' agitation. On May 22, Thackeray said, "I shall be undergoing hip bone surgery on June 1... I have been in pain for some time in the legs and now also in the back." Post-surgery, MNS Chief will be back with his protest against mosque loudspeaker.

Kannada Actor Shivaram Passes Away Due To Brain Haemorrhage
Kannada actor Shivaram died at a private at the age of 83 on December 4 in Bengaluru. Reportedly, he was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed at his house while performing puja on November 30. Doctors revealed he suffered a brain hemorrhage but surgery wasn't conducted considering his age. Details of his last rites will be announced soon. Notably, he had been in the film industry since 1958.

MP Govt Permits Woman Constable To Undergo Sex Change

Maharashtra CM Discharged From Reliance Hospital
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was discharged from the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on December 2. The CM went through successful cervical spine surgery on November 12, after getting admitted to the hospital on November 11. "I didn't even have time to lift my check, of course, I said no to my neck pack, but I neglected it and the effect on my neck happened," said Thackeray.

Former Supermodel Linda Evangelista has filed a lawsuit against Zeltiq claiming that the "CoolSculpting" technique left her deformed and unemployed for years and is now seeking $50 million as compensation.
