Om Birla Cautions Against Misuse Of Natural Resources

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stressed the need for a sustainable environment, during an event on April 16. During his speech at a Parliamentary Research and Training Institute program, Birla called for innovative methods to preserve the environment. He also cautioned against the misuse of natural resources. He also stated that climate change affects various aspects of human life, like the ecosystem, the economy, etc.

Kejriwal Launches Initiative To Transform Delhi Into ‘World-Class’ City

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on August 3 launched "Delhi@2047", an initiative to work towards policies and strategies for Delhi's development in all sectors. The aim is to make Delhi the number one global city in the world by 2047. The project also seeks partnerships with private sectors, corporate houses, and more. "We will increase Delhi's per capita income to Singapore's level and bid for the 2048 Olympics," Kejriwal said.

Coca-Cola To Turn Eco-Friendly; Eyes To Manufacture Paper Bottles

In a bid to support eco-friendly initiatives, Coca-Cola is conducting trials over the manufacturing of paper bottles. EU Recommends Its Govt. To Use COVID Recovery Package on Green Energy

The European Union has recommended its members to use €750 billion for COVID-19 recovery packages. They have asked their 27 member countries to spend money on green energy, transport, and also focus on other areas. EU official Paolo Gentiloni said, "The guidance aims to help the member states to prepare national plans in line with our agreed objectives". The member countries can apply for said grants from January 2021.
