PM Modi Attends Reception Ceremony Of 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' In Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the reception ceremony of 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' at the National War Memorial in Delhi on December 16, at 10:30 AM. Reportedly, it commemorates 50 years of India's victory in the 1971 war and the formation of Bangladesh. Besides, PM Modi will merge the four flames with the Eternal Flame at the National War Memorial that he lit on the same day last year.

Rajnath Singh Remembers Martyred Soldiers Of 1971 War: Vijay Diwas

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1971 war on the occasion of Swarnim Vijay Diwas on December 16. "The 1971 war is the golden chapter in India's military history," tweeted Singh. He also shared a picture of 'Instrument of Surrender''. Notably, the day marks India's victory in the 1971 war and the formation of Bangladesh.

PM Lights 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' To Mark 50th Year Of 1971 War Win

PM Narendra Modi has lit the 'Swarnim Vijay Mashaal' at the National War Memorial to denote the 50th anniversary of India's victory over Pakistan in 1971. Reportedly, the government has declared to mark the year-long celebration as the ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh.’ Besides, the Defence Ministry will send four victory marshals to the villages of Param Vir and Maha Vir Chakra awardees of 1971 war.
