IPO Oversubscribed Ahead Of Trading Debut Says Volvo Cars
Gothenburg-based Volvo Car said on October 29 that their Initial Public Offering (IPO) was oversubscribed, ''as it attracted strong interests from the institutional investors'' in Sweden's Stockholm. Reportedly, the IPO was priced at 6.22 dollars per share, and the company wishes to distribute nearly 380 million new shares. Once shares are sold, the company will also use the money for its electric-only model line-up.

Sweden To No Longer Provide Support To Afghanistan: Swedish Minister
Olsson Fridh, Minister for International Development for Sweden, said that "Afghanistan will soon face more political crisis with the economy to free-fall, creating an environment for terror groups to thrive". The country has spurned into crisis following the collapse of western government's support due to Taliban's takeover. Fridh further stated that Sweden would no longer provide "any support" in the near future.

Scania Admits Bribery For Indian Contracts; Indian Minister Involved
Investigations by news outlets have revealed that the Swedish automaker Scania's employees paid bribes to win bus contracts in seven Indian states during 2013-2016. Reportedly, the company had falsified truck models with fake chassis numbers and license plate and earned nearly $11.8 million by selling them to an Indian mining company. The investigative report by Swedish news channel SVT had revealed the involvement of an Indian Minister.

Sweden Owns Only Ice Hotel In World Which Doesn't Melt In Summer
A Swedish hotel, known as 'Ice Hotel 365', is the only ice art hall in the world which does not even melt in summers. Spotify Launches Pocket Friendly 'Premium Mini' Subscription In India
To expand its user base in India, the Swedish music-streaming giant Spotify has unveiled 'Premium Mini' plan on December 15. As per the new plan, customers will be charged Rs 7 for a 1-day plan and Rs 25 for a week's plan. Moreover, they can listen to ad-free music in a single device and can download up to 30 songs.
