Restaurant Owner Killed Over Delayed Food Delivery In Greater Noida
Sunil Agrawal, a restaurant owner in Greater Noida was shot dead on August 31 night over a delayed food delivery. According to police, three men who came to take food delivery got into an argument with the restaurant's staff and created chaos. However, the police have arrested all the three accused. Moreover, responding to the incident, food delivery company Swiggy stated that they will cooperate with the investigation.

Swiggy Confirms To Run Vaccination Drive For Its Driver Partners
As a proactive step, food delivery App Swiggy on May 20 has started the vaccination drive for its driver partners in-order to fight against Covid19. However, the decision comes days after the company decided to vaccinate over 2,00,000 delivery partners. Covering the entire cost of the drive, Swiggy also said that it will encourage its employees to get vaccinated as they are considered as essential service providers.

Centre Nods To Drone Flight Operations Of Swiggy, Spicejet, 18 Others
The Aviation Ministry has approved a conditional exemption for drone flight operations of 20 entities including SpiceJet, Dunzo Air Consortium and Swiggy. The one-year exemption is granted under the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Rules, 2021, and the drones have been allowed to operate beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS). Swiggy will bear the cost of COVID-19 vaccination for its nearly two lakh delivery partners. Chicken Biryani Becomes Most Ordered Food On Swiggy In 2020
Chicken biryani became the most ordered food on online platform Swiggy. The fifth edition of Swiggy’s StatEATstics reported that over 3 lakhs new users joined the platform to order the biryani. However, the ratio of vegetarian and chicken biryani orders stood at 1:6. Masala dosa, paneer butter masala and chicken fried rice were next in the line. Swiggy also delivered over six lakh cakes during the pandemic.
