Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has been facing serious issues due to his fitness off late and therefore he is often played in the squad as a pure batsman. However, many cricket experts feel he might not be the best fit as a pure batsman for the T-20 World cup. The likes of Shreyas Iyer or Shardul Thakur should be included in the world cup squad as his replacement.

Former legendary bowler Wasim Akram has urged the ardent fans of Pakistan cricket to get behind their team for the T20 World Cup in a video uploaded by Cricket Pakistan. Akram said he is also disappointed with the recent tour canceled by New Zealand and England. "I am equally disappointed, equally down and equally sad...but...if our side performs well, teams all around the world will run behind Pakistan," Akram said.

ICC Unveils The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally on August 17 confirmed that the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will start on October 17 and will end on November 14. The World Cup is divided between Round 1 and Super12. The main tournament Super12 among 16 teams will be played between October 23 to November 14 in the UAE and Oman. Notably, India and Pakistan's match will be on October 24.
