A viral video of Deepak Chahar abusing Mohammed Siraj, during the third Twenty-20 International match against South Africa, is all over social media. On October 4, the third T20 match was held at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. In the last over of the match against SA, Chahar showered abuses at his fellow bowling partner, Siraj. "Abey Bsdk Chutiye"?, so precious of Chahar to teach him ABCs..." said Chahar. 

The BCCI officially announced wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson to be a replacement of KL Rahul in the T20 Internationals, in West Indies series. On July 29, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced, "KL Rahul was earlier named in the squad and his participation in the T20I series was subject to fitness. The batter tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has been advised rest by the BCCI medical team."

Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah on July 14 were exempted from the five T20Is against the West Indies, which begin on July 29 in the Caribbean and the United States. KL Rahul, who just underwent surgery for a sports hernia, and Kuldeep Yadav were included on the 18-man team, subject to fitness. Ravichandran Ashwin has also returned to the T20 squad.

In the T20I of the India V/S England match, Indian skipper Hardik Pandya shined with his performance, as he scored 51 runs of 31 balls, taking the team score to 198/8 in the first innings. With Pandya's help, Team India defeated England in the first T20I match, held on July 7. Briefing team England's score, they managed to secure 148 runs, in the first innings of the three-series T20 Match.

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has took the charge as the mentor for the upcoming T20 World Cup of the Indian squad following his appointment in the role last month. Notably, Dhoni recently won the IPL tournament and also has other ICC trophies in his name. The Indian Team will be playing two warm-up matches, against England and Australia before the beginning of the World Cup on October 24.
