Saudi Arabia's Tablighi Jamaat Ban Draws Criticism In India
All India Mualim Personal Law Board, on December 13, reacted to the Saudi Arabia's ban on Tablighi Jamaat. Maulana Salman Hussain Nadwi called Saudi Arabia "puppet of Zionist power" and criticised them for the decision. Maulana said Saudi is now doing promotion of entertainment as "promotion of immortality and corruption". Another Islamic Scholar of Mumbai claimed Saudi Arabia to be "Slave of West".

Terror Funding Case: NIA Raids Over 50 Places Of Jamaat Members In J&K

SC Draws Farmer Protest Parallel To Tablighi Jamaat; Warns Centre
Hearing a plea related to the Tablighi Jamaat event, the Supreme Court on January 7 warned Centre over the probability of similar consequences in the farmers' protest. Fearing the rise of Covid-19 cases, the top court asked the Solicitor General regarding safety provisions against COVID-19 and has directed to submit a report on developments to pacify the protests. 36 Foreigners Facing COVID-19 Norm Violation Charges Acquitted
Around 36 foreign nationals facing trial under several IPC sections for attending the Tablighi Jamaat event in March at Delhi's Nizamuddin area were freed of all the charges against them. Search is On for Maulana Saad, ED Conducts Raids in Money Laundering Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on August 19, informed that Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and a few other locations are being searched and raided to gather evidence against the leader of Tablighi Jamaat, Maulana Saad Kandhalvi in relation to the money laundering case filed by the Central Probe Agency in April. The raids are conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The Delhi Police had registered an FIR in March.
