Earthquake Wrecks 600 Metre-Long Gaoliao Bridge In Taiwan

An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude on the Richter scale hit southeastern parts of Taiwan on September 18. The quake has caused cracks in buildings and roads in the region. An aerial view of the Gaoliao bridge revealed the full impact of the quake. Sections of the bridge broke apart and crumbled following the earthquake, reported India Today.

21 Chinese Warplanes, 5 Warships Tracked Around Taiwan

Taiwan has reported that 21 Chinese warplanes and five warships have been tracked around the territory of Taiwan, with eight jets crossing Taiwan Strait Median line. Taiwan has asked its Combat Air Patrol (CAP), navy ships and air defence missile systems to monitor China’s military actions and respond. On the previous day, as many as 51 Chinese warplanes breached the territory boundaries.

China Launches DF Ballistic Missiles & Performs Military Drills In Taiwan Waters

China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has launched multiple Dongfeng ballistic (DF) missiles in Taiwan's northeast and southwest waters, informed Taiwan's defence ministry. China's has also commenced military drills in areas surrounding Taiwan's main island, a day after the departure of Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of US House of Representatives. Futhermore, Taiwan's defence ministry tweeted "our defence systems have been activated".

'Pig Meat' dumped in the Taiwan's Parliament; Leaders Got into Physical Fight

The Taiwan parliament on November 27 witnessed an instability after the lawmakers got involved into physical fights over a policy, which lifts off the ban on importing US pork and beef. Reportedly, the chaos started only after a Nationalist party (KMT) leaders dumped pig meat in the parliament. The ban possibly to be lifted in the month of January, 2021 and is being strongly opposed by the KMT and Taiwanese.
