Tajinderpal Singh Toor Withdraws From 22 World Championship

Amid injuries, top Indian shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor withdrew from the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Tajinder Singh Toor Breaks Asian Shot-Put Record, Qualifies For Tokyo Olympics

Tajinderpal Singh Toor, an Indian athlete who won the Asian Games in men’s shot-put, has qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games. The 26-year-old marked the Asian record throw of 21.49 m in the Indian Grand Prix IV on June 21. However, he is the 11th Indian to qualify for Olympics and had outdone the Asian record of 21.13m and the qualifying mark of 21.10 m.
