Afghan Women Battle To Reclaim Lost Freedoms One Year After Taliban Return
Monesa Mubarez is fighting for Afghan women's rights against the Taliban government. There are no women in the Taliban government's cabinet, and the Ministry of Women's Affairs was closed. Despite the risk of being beaten and detained by Taliban members, she participated in various rallies. Another Blast Reported In Afghanistan's Kabul
Yet another case of blast was reported in Kabul's Chandawal, on August 8. However, no casualties have been reported from the blast. The witnesses claimed that the blast was caused due to a magnetic mine that was placed in a public transport. The wounded have been admitted to Ibne Sine Chest Hospital, and so far, no one has taken responsibility for the blast. Further details are awaited.

Taliban & Qatar To Sign Security Pact; Taliban's Defence Minister Returns From Qatar Visit
Upon Taliban's acting defence minister Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid's return from his Qatar visit, he said that Qatar is interested in signing a security pact with Afghanistan. IED Explosion Kills 5 Taliban Militants & 1 Civilian In Afghanistan
An IED explosion in Afghanistan's Spin Boldak area killed at least five Taliban combatants and one civilian. The explosion happened early in the morning on June 9. Security personnel were dispatched to the scene to examine the incident. Blasts are not uncommon in Afghanistan; on June 4, a bomb occurred in Kabul's Police District-4 using explosives transported on a bicycle, according to the Kabul security agency.
