Often seen as a guest or host on the show, Haddish said she has been "popping-up guest hosting 'Ellen' is because she [DeGeneres] wanted a few days off from work." Notably, the actor-comedian's name has been the most discussed among those suspected to take over 'Ellen'.

American comedian Ellen DeGeneres' talk show 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' will meet its closure in 2022 after running for 19 years. The show became a hot topic after its top executive producers were accused of sexual misconduct and the sets were alleged of having a toxic work environment.
