Don't End Life, NEET To Be Scrapped Soon: TN CM MK Stalin

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin assured students that NEET, medical entrance exam will soon be scrapped in the State, and requested them not to take their lives. Notably, in Tamil Nadu, many students, after failing the national medical entrance exam, allegedly committed suicide. Reacting to the rising suicides including the recent death of Jagatheeswaran, a NEET aspirant, Stalin said, "Let their deaths be the last on the altar of NEET."

Three People Died Of Electrocution In Tamil Nadu, CM Announces Ex-Gratia

In Tamil Nadu's Villupuram district, three men aged between 40 to 45 years old, died of electrocution, on July 20. The victims came into contact with a electric fence in a farm and died. The TN CM MK Stalin announced a solatium of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the three deceased persons, from the CM Relief Fund.  The victims belonged to Vanniper village in the same district.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Admitted To Hospital For Covid-19 Related Symptoms

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has been admitted to the hospital for investigations and observation amid covid-related symptoms, on July 14. Stalin, who tested positive for Covid-19, on July 12, was under home isolation, but suffered mild symptoms, and was shifted to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) workers wished him a speedy recovery. Besides DMK, TN Governor RN Ravi also extended recovery wishes to Stalin.

CM MK Stalin Appeals For Mother Tongue Education In Tamil Nadu Institutes

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin while inaugurating a school, emphasized on the need for education in mother tongue. On May 27, during the inauguration event, he said, "Educational institutions should give encouragement to education in the mother tongue and schemes must be named using the Tamil language". Notably, the statement came during the inauguration of a new school of the DAV Group in suburban Pallikaranai, to help state-run schools.

Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Boards A City Bus, Astonishes Commuters

When Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin boarded a metropolis bus that shuttles women for free in Chennai, passengers were got astonished. He got on the "M-19 b Kannagi Nagar-T Nagar" service. He inquired about the government's free bus transportation policy for women. ''The Joy on the women's face spread to me as well while taking up the review in the city bus,'' said CM in a tweet.

Chief Minister Of Tamil Nadu Gives Welfare & Maintenance Grants To People With Disabilities

TN CM, M K Stalin has handed welfare aids and maintenance allowances to many differently-abled on October 9. At the Secretariat, he allocated keys to five beneficiaries of petrol scooters with connected wheels. Besides, CM Stalin provided Rs 1,500 monthly allowances for maintenance to five profoundly disabled people and gave appointment orders based on humanitarian grounds to the heirs of four workers who died on duty.

Hindi Version Of Kangana Ranaut's 'Thalaivii' Releases On Netflix

Weeks after "Thalaivii's" theatrical release, the Hindi version of the movie was released on Netflix on September 25. Directed by AL Vijay and starring Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami as leads, the film is the real-life biopic of J Jayalalithaa, the ex-Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions are expected to be released on the OTT platform by October 1.
