Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R.Doraikannu succumbed to COVID-19 at a private hospital in Chennai on October 31. Crane Hits 105-year-old Pamban Railway Bridge; Train Services Halted

Train services were short terminated between Rameswaram and Mandapam stations on October 30 after a crane used for the construction of a new railway bridge hit the existing 105-year-old Pamban bridge. Reportedly, heavy winds and rough sea caused the two floating cranes to hit the bridge. Later, the cranes were towed away and the passengers on the train were transported in buses. Officials informed that there were no major damages.

Tamil Nadu CM Promises Free COVID-19 Vaccination In State

Tamil Nadu Govt Provides Rs 10 Crore Financial Aid To Flood-hit Telangana

Tamil Nadu government on October 19 announced an immediate financial assistance of Rs 10 crore from the CM relief fund to the flood-hit Telangana. Expert Committee says, Tamil Nadu's Economy Can be Recovered Within two months
