Taapsee Pannu, who is all set for her upcoming release 'Shabhash Mithu', expressed displeasure about how cricket lovers in India, don't show equal love to women's cricket. Revealing her connection with Indian Women Skipper Mithali Raj, Pannu said, "You do pre-booking of a movie if it is a male protagonist but wait for reviews for a female protagonist. That is where I connected to her (Mithali),” she added.

Zee 5, an OTT platform, has announced that Taapsee Pannu's 'Rasmi Rocket' to be released on October 15. The film is based on the real-life of athlete Nanda Periyasamy's ''girt and a never-say-die attitude." It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP and Mango People Media and directed by Akarsh Khurana. The film also stars Supriya Pathak, Abishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli and Supriya Pilgaonkar.

Srijit Mukherji, the renowned director of movies like Begum Jaan, has taken over the charge to direct, "Shabaash Mithu", starring Tapsee Pannu. Earlier, the movie was supposed to be directed by Rahul Dholakia, who then stepped down stating, “covid messed up everyone’s schedules, mine was no different." The movie is based on the life of Indian Women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj and is being produced by Viacom 18 Pictures.
Netflix film Haseen Dillruba's trailer has been released on June 11. The movie, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, explores the mess of a love triangle. Directed by Vinil Mathew, the movie has got its script and dialogue from Kanika Dhillon. Haseen Dillruba is slated for release on July 2.
