2 Kashmir Pandit Brothers Attacked In Shopian, One Died
In Jammu & Kashmir, fresh attacks on Kashmiri Pandits were reportedly attacked. On August 15, the attack comes amid an outcry over Kashmiri Pandits being targeted. Sunil Kumar Bhat and Pintoo Kumar Bhat, the victims, were brothers from the village of Chotigam, who came under attack in an apple orchard in the Shopian neighbourhood of Chotipora. Sunil allegedly passed away after being shot, whereas Pintoo is undergoing treatment.

Political strategist Prashant Kishore has been picked as a possible candidate for surveillance by the NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware. The contact details of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee and the nephew of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee have also been hacked. In the tale of the alleged surveillance targets, Rahul Gandhi has emerged as one of the other potential targets.
