The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is in jail in alleged corruption case is allegedly facing death threats. Notably, Nara Lokesh, Chandrababu's son took to X formerly known as Twitter and said, his father was shifted to jail with the intent of killing as there are mosquitoes and have threat of deadly Dengue. He urged the President of India Droupadi Murmu to intervene.

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan announced an alliance between his JanaSena and the Telugu Desam Party of ex-AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The announcement came as a drawback for the ruling Government, YSRCP. Kalyan also extended support to TDP supremo, who is in custody in an alleged ₹ 371 crore scam case. In order to honour former Andhra Pradesh CM and founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) N.T. Rama Rao, the Central Government decided to release a 100 Rs coin with his picture. The decision was taken by the ruling BJP Government to honour NTR for his rendered services to India and its people. Tension prevailed in Kuppam district after some miscreants attacked Anna canteens, near the bus stand of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Upon hearing of the attack, the TDP leader rushed and staged a protest demanding strict action against the culprit. Actor-turned politician and former AP CM NTR's fourth daughter K Uma Maheswari passed away on August 1, at her Hyderabad residence. The police found her body hanging with a ceiling fan and suspected it to be a suicide, as Uma was suffering from prolonged illness and likely to have had depression. In the Andhra Pradesh's Atmakur by-election, the ruling YSRCP is leading against the BJP and the TDP, on June 26. After rounds of vote counting, the YSRCP candidate Mekapati Vikram Reddy is leading with 50,654 votes against his BJP rival Bharat Kumar Yadav, said the ECI. Notably, so far Vikram polled 61,829 votes while Bharat got 11,175. Furthermore, the results of the Atmakur by-election is expected by the afternoon.
