Students & Security Staff Clash In JNU; 2 FIRs Filed
In Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), a clash broke out between a group of students and the security personnel. The incident reportedly occurred at around 10:30 am, and the students were protesting for their “rights”. Reportedly, around 15 students barged into the Students and projects section, and confined some of the teachers to the chairs. Further details on the matter are awaited.

'Virtual Classrooms' To Be Established Across State: Goa Chief Minister

2 Teachers Die In Road Accident As Truck Rams Into Them: UP
Ashok Kumar (35) and Suryabhan (40), who were working as "siksha mitras" (ad-hoc teachers), died in an accident when a truck rammed into them, on April 21. The incident occurred on the Banda-Bahraich highway in Uttar Pradesh, when the teachers were returning from a wedding ceremony on a motorcycle. Reportedly, the truck which rammed into them, toppled. After which, the driver and his helped fled the spot.

Varanasi Teachers Conduct Pink Rallies To Create Voting Awareness: UP Elections
In Uttar Pradesh, teachers of varanasi took out "pink rallies" to create voting awareness amongst voters, on February 24. Ahead of the fifth- phase of UP elections, teachers wearing pink outfits, riding pink scooters launched the rallies, asking voters, especially women to perform their franchise and vote. They started from police cross line, Varanasi and will end at the same point, covering 10 km. Fifth-phase election are on February 25.

Education Ministry To Fill Vacant Posts Of Teachers In Central Universities By March
The Education Ministry has set a target to fill the vacant posts of teachers in Central Universities before the new academic session in March 2022. The entire process of filling the vacant posts is monitored by a special team within the Ministry. The posts were initially supposed to be filled by December 30. Reportedly, more than 6000 posts of teachers are vacant in 50 central universities.

Teachers Molest Girl Student In UP's Muzaffarnagar, Yet To Be Arrested
In Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, a case of molestation was registered against two school teachers for molesting a high school girl student, said police officials on December 7. ''The police were informed that a girl had gone to an academy for practicals,'' Abhishek Yadav Senior Superintendent of Police told to ANI. Reportedly, five teams, including a team from the crime branch, have been constituted to arrest both the accused.
