PM Modi To Kick Off 3-Day Gujarat Tour From April 18, WHO Chief To Join
PM Narendra Modi is going to kick-off his 3-day Gujarat tour today, where he will be joined by WHO Chief, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Modi is set to lay the foundation stone for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in the afternoon of 19th April, in the presence of the WHO chief. The WHO and the Indian Government had signed an agreement to establish the centre last month.

COVID-19 Pandemic Can End In 2022: WHO Chief Tedros
The Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the COVID-19 pandemic can end in 2022 if the International community takes all comprehensive measures. During the opening of the 150th session of the WHO Executive Board on January 24, Tedros said, "The WHO continues to work nationally, regionally, and globally". He added that we should learn lessons from the pandemic and develop solutions for future emergencies.

WHO Halts Booster Dose Program In High-Income Nations
WHO Chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has asked high-income nations to stall their booster doses as under-performing nations are facing vaccine supply shortages. "We cannot accept countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it," he said. Besides, Germany and Israel have announced their plans for a third dose. Meanwhile, Haiti and Congo are struggling with the two-dose administration.

WHO Chief Addresses Post COVID Mental Scars, Seeks Joint Pandemic Effort
Addressing the 74th World Health Assembly, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on May 31 said, "one day the COVID-19 pandemic will be behind us." Citing the post-COVID impact, Ghebreyesus said the psychological scars will remain for those who lost their loved ones. WHO Urges To Stop Vaccinating Childs, Donate Doses To Poor Countries
WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has advised the rich countries to stop vaccinating children; instead, donate the doses to countries facing shortage.
