Just after 15 days of his arrival in the city for pursuing Bachelor's degree, 18-year-old Arib Khan lost his life on November 21 in Bhopal after being crushed by a train. According to police, the accident happened when Arib went out with his friends to take pictures to share them on social media. The police added that the body was sent for postmortem. Arib was a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district.

On September 15, UP police informed about a 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped and gang-raped by two people in UP's Ballia. The crime happened on September 9, but was highlighted only after a social activist posted the video of the victim, begging to spare her and was witnessed by a senior police officer from Lucknow. The victim's mother has filed a complaint, and the two accused have been arrested.

A teenager was allegedly kidnapped from a police station in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district, after being rescued and raped for several days by a group of men. The girl had actually gone missing from August 14. The girl's family alleged that the girl has been kidnaped by Luv Kush, whose proposal for marriage had come and was refused. "The girl has been rescued and a case has been registered against 12 people," said SP Rahul Kumar.

A 17-year-old boy was killed on September 7 in south Kolkata’s Gariahat area. According to the police, the boy got into a fight with his friend while playing a game. Reportedly, during the fight, the boy fell down and became unconscious. The police said that the boy was rushed to the hospital; however, he was declared dead. The police further informed that the accused has been detained.

The people of Kerala held protests over the alleged rape of the COVID-19 positive teen on September 5, by an ambulance driver who already has a criminal record. The opposition, demanded the resignation from the state Health Minister K.K Shylaja, and blamed her for the crime. "The State did not care for the security of women and children and exposed them to crime wilfully," BJP state president added.

On September 5, a 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an ambulance driver in Kerala's Pathanamthitta District. The victim was COVID positive and was on her way to hospital. Reportedly, the accused Noufal took her to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja ordered to dismiss the driver and ensured that actions will be taken against the accused.
