Telangana HC Rejects Plea Of YS Avinash Reddy

The Telangana HC announced its verdict in the petition of YS Avinash Reddy, a suspect in the controversial 2019 YS Vivekananda Reddy murder. On March 17, the court rejected the plea of the YSRCP MP from Kadapa, in regard to the CBI investigation of YS Vivekananda Reddy.  The court bench further ordered YS Avinash Reddy to cooperate with the CBI Hyderabad in the investigation.

SC Agrees To Hear Petition Filed Against CBI Probe In BRS MLA Poaching

The Supreme Court (SC) agreed to hear the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Poaching Case against the CBI probe. After the Telangana High Court dismissed the petition filed by the State government led by K Chandrashekar Rao, the BRS moved the Apex Court, demanding the quashing of the Telangana HC orders and asked for an urgent listing. After reviewing the petition, the SC bench listed the matter to February 17.

Legal Battle Over Claims Of Nizam's King Kothi Palace: Hyderabad

The last Nizam of Hyderabad and the great-grandson of Mir Osman Ali Khan, Himayat Ali Mirza said to have a legal battle to protect the last heritage symbol of Nizam's, the King Kothi Palace in Hyderabad. On April 24, he said to file a petition in the HC over the ownership of the palace. He also demanded a CBI probe over the ownership, claimed by more than two real-estate firms.

Govt Has To Compensate Farmers For Loss Due To Rain: Telangana HC

The Telangana High Court ordered the state government in its verdict, on September 28, to compensate the farmers for their crop-loss due to heavy rains and floods in October 2020. Reportedly, a PIL was filed by S Ashalatha of the Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV), Vissa Kirankumar, Kenneganti Ravi in November 2020. However, RSV welcomed the judgment and said the government should also provide compensation for this year's loss.
