Telangana Police arrested YSRTP President YS Sharmila, while she was trying to lay seige the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office in Hyderabad.  However, the police stopped Sharmila, asking her to leave the area, and when she continued the protest, the female police personnel detained her. Notably, YS Sharmila along with her supporters called for the protest against the paper leak issue, demanding a CBI probe. 

YSR Telangana Party President YS Sharmila was detained by the Hyderabad Police, on March 8. As per sources, Sharmila was holding a 'silent protest' with the party activists, when the city police arrested her. The protest was organised on the occasion of 'International Women's Day" to raise voices against crime against women in Telangana. She also blamed the Telangana Government for not taking action against the criminals.

Hours after being sent to 14-day of judicial custody, suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh gets bail. The Telangana police has imposed section 144 of the CrPC, amid tension in Nizamabad's Bodhan town, on March 20. According to sources, a group of people gathered on the road and started pelting stone, to protest against the installation of Shivaji statue, saying it has hurt their sentiments. To avoid further violence, Nizamabad CP KR Nagaraju imposed section 144 and filed a case against accused.
