YS Sharmila Detained Amid 'Silent Protest' At Tank Bund
YSR Telangana Party President YS Sharmila was detained by the Hyderabad Police, on March 8. As per sources, Sharmila was holding a 'silent protest' with the party activists, when the city police arrested her. The protest was organised on the occasion of 'International Women's Day" to raise voices against crime against women in Telangana. She also blamed the Telangana Government for not taking action against the criminals.

Telangana Police Reacts To Viral Tweet, Says Police Paid Rs 28 Lakh Traffic Fines
After a viral tweet, mentioned that Telangana DGP has pending traffic violation fines of Rs. 7,000, since 2018, whereas the traffic police ask citizens to pay fines and imposed strict traffic rules. Reacting to the Twitter user, the Joint Commissioner of Telangana Police said, the state police officials paid a fine of Rs 28 lakhs, and cleared over 11,000 challans, pending since 2018.

Telangana Police Issues Advisory After Viral Video Of Man Riding Scooter With Overloaded Goods
A video of a man riding a scooter with overloaded goods went viral on Twitter. Shared by @sagarcasm, the video gained over 7.23 lakh views, and special attention from the Telangana Police. "There is a possibility to retrieve the data from the Mobile, even if it’s damaged. But not life... So our appeal to people avoid putting their life’s at risk and others too," said police issuing advisory.

Section 144 Imposed In Telangana's Nizamabad District
The Telangana police has imposed section 144 of the CrPC, amid tension in Nizamabad's Bodhan town, on March 20. According to sources, a group of people gathered on the road and started pelting stone, to protest against the installation of Shivaji statue, saying it has hurt their sentiments. To avoid further violence, Nizamabad CP KR Nagaraju imposed section 144 and filed a case against accused.

TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy Put Under House Arrest: Telangana
TPCC president Revanth Reddy, has been put under house arrest, on December 31. Reddy was scheduled to visit farmers in Sayampalem village, Bhupalpally district. However, the State Police suspected him to be planning a protest, due to which he has been put under house arrest with additional security. Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy criticised the Telangana Government and CM K Chandrashekar Rao, calling it breach of human rights.
