TV Panelist Booked For His Remark Over Expected Deaths During Third Wave
Telangana Government has filed a police complaint against a TV panelist for commenting about possible deaths during the third wave of Covid-19 infection. However, the state's Director of Public Health and Family Welfare Dr G Srinivas Rao filed an complaint against Paruchuri Mallik, a chemical engineer. Besides, Mr Mallik is not a subject expert and passing such negative based on falsehood, lies, without any basis is an offence, said Rao.å

Film Director Aisha Sultana Booked Under Sedition, Hate Speech
Lakshadweep Police has registered a case of sedition and hate speech on June 8 against a film director Aisha Sultana. Reportedly, Sultana over a Malayalam channel said that Union Territory's administrator, Praful Khoda Patel is being used as "bio-weapon" at the Island. However, an outrage among the workers broke in Lakshadweep after Sultana's remark and a BJP leader C. Abdul Khader Raj filed complaint against her.

TV Actor Pearl V Puri Booked For Allegedly Molesting, Raping Minor
The Mumbai Police on June 4 booked television actor and Naagin-3-famed Pearl V Puri for allegedly raping and molesting a minor girl. Reportedly, the actor has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. As per sources, the actor took sexual favours from the minor girl, assuring her roles in television serials. Meanwhile, Puri has been sent to police custody.

Actor Satish Kaul who acted the role of Lord Indra in the most beloved TV show Mahabharata passed away on April 10, due to COVID-19 complications. The 74-year-old actor was tested positive on April 8, and was subsequently admitted at a hospital in Ludhiana. Earlier, due to financial crunch the actor had said, "I got so much love as an actor, I need some attention now as a human in need."
