In Delhi's Mandawali region, people gathered and protested the removal of a portion of a temple in the region, on June 22. Women and men were seen standing outside the temple with a stick, opposing the removal of temple portion. Furthermore, to control; the situation, the Delhi Police deployed in huge force. Tollywood actress Samantha Prabhu got a crazy fan who announced to inaugurate a temple of her in Andhra Pradesh. In the bizarre incident, a resident of AP, Tenali Sandeep built a temple of the actress in Alapadu village, which is set for inauguration on April 28, birthday of the actress. With this, Samantha joined the club of actresses, who also has temple built by their fans in Tamil Nadu.

In Bihar, a temple was desecrated in the Kishanganj district, confirmed police on July 22. As per information by devotees, who found an idol of the presiding deity at the Kali temple in Lahra chowk area vandalised. The incident created a ruckus, as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal staged a demonstration by burning tyres on the road. The police suspected one and arrested them for interrogation, from Kishanganj.
 

On the grounds of a Hanuman temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a man's body was discovered in a pool of blood on July 3. Pankaj Shukla, the 30-year-old victim, had gone to the temple to sleep post-dinner. In a moment of fury, the accused, Pankaj's cousin Gullu Mishra, murdered the man with a sharp-edged object. Police have retrieved the axe used in the murder and apprehended the accused. 

In Uttarakhand's Kedarnath, four more Pilgrims lost their lives after falling ill, on May 25. Meanwhile, three others have been airlifted to Rishikesh's AIIMS via air ambulance. The deceased have been identified as Rishi Bhadauriya (65), Shambu Dayal Yadav (66), Kamalnath Bhatt (60) and Changdev Janardan Shinde. Reportedly, since May 6, over 38 Pilgrims have died on their way, due to cardiac arrest and other health problems.
