Tennis legend Serena Williams has announced her retirement on August 9, reported Vogue. The 40-year-old has won 73 career singles, 23 career doubles titles. In an emotional post, William who is a mother said, "A lot of people don’t realize that I was two months pregnant when I won the Australian Open in 2017. But I’m turning 41 this month, and something’s got to give." Hence, she announced her retirement.

Tennis Star Sania Mirza Announces Retirement, Will Play Last In 2022
Tennis star Sania Mirza announced her retirement, on January 19. After her recent defeat at Australian Open 2022 in women's double event, Mirza said, she will be playing her last match in 2022 end and will bid goodbye to tennis. "The energy is not the same anymore," said Mirza. Notably, Sania Mirza is former World No. 1 player in doubles and first Indian to win Grand Slam.
