SC Extends Tenure Of ED Chief Sanjay Kumar Till September 15
In a relief to the Union government, the Supreme Court on July 27, allowed Enforcement Directorate (ED) chief Sanjay Kumar Mishra to continue till September 15 in "larger public interest". Earlier, the Apex Court issued an order and opposed the third term extension of the ED Chief Sanjay Kumar. However, initially the extension was till July 31, which has now been extended to September 15, considering the public interest.

ICMR Director General's Tenure Extended By 3 Months
The ICMR Director-General Dr. Balram Bhargava's term has been extended for another three months. In April, the appointment committee of the cabinet approved the extension, following which Bhargava will continue as the secretary of health research and director-general of the ICMR. Starting from April 15, Dr Bhargava's term would end on July 15. Notably, Dr. Balram Bhargava was appointed as the ICMR Director-General on April 16, 2018.

Tata Sons Reappoints Chairman N Chandrasekaran, Extends Tenure For 5 Years
Tata Son's N Chandrasekaran has been reappointed as the Chairman of the company. His tenure has been extended for another 5 years, on February 11. The Tata Son Pvt Limited Board with special invitee Ratan Tata, approved the appointment based on the performance of N Chandrasekaran, who is leading the ecommerce app project. Chandrasekaran who joined Tata Sons in 2016, became Chairman in 2017 and expressed gratitude over his reappointment.
