1 Militant Shot Dead In Search Operation Turned Gunfight: J&K

A search operation turned gunfight broke out in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, on December 24. As per sources, the search operation is underway, and is being conducted jointly by J&K police, Army and CRPF. "So far, one unidentified militant has been killed," said police. On December 22, an Assistant Sub-inspector of the J&K police was shot dead by terrorists in the Anantnag district.

Security Forces Kill Pakistani Terrorist Babar Ali In J&K

In an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora at Chandaji, a Pakistani terrorist Babar Ali was killed by security forces, said police on August 3. Reportedly, terrorist Ali belongs to Pakistan's Punjab province. Besides, while sharing the news, DGP Dilbagh Singh said, “On 23/24 July, an operation was carried out at Shokbaba forest area in which three terrorists were killed, including one Pakistani terrorist.”

Terrorist Kills Security Jawan In An Encounter At J&K's Pulwama

In an encounter with terrorists, an army jawan was killed in the Rajpora area of J&K's Pulwama district during a search operation launched by the Security Force. According to the police, the security personnel had information about the terrorist's presence in the Hanji village. However, the officials believe that 3-4 terrorists were trapped while the jawan succumbed to injuries at Srinagar's hospital.

J&K: Security Forces Kill 3 Terrorists In First Encounter Of 2021

In the first terrorist encounter of 2021, the security forces killed three unidentified terrorists in Tral area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. Following a tip-off, the joint team of Army, CRPF and J&K Police cordoned off the area. The forces retaliated to the gunshots of the terrorists where they killed three militants in a long battle. Moreover, they have recovered arms and ammunition from the hideout.

2 Unidentified Terrorists Gunned Down In Pulwama 

In the wee hours of December 9, two unidentified terrorists have gunned down by the Kashmir police and the security forces. Police had informed that the encounter took place at Tiken area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. The search operation by the police had become an encounter after the terrorists started firing on the security forces. Moreover, a civilian had injured in the firing.

J&K DGP Says, Pak Supplies Arms Through Drones, Sends Terrorists via Tunnels

J&K Police DGP Dilbag Singh accused Pakistan of using underground tunnels for sending terrorists and drones to supply arms. He said it while inspecting a 170-metre tunnel at Galar village, found by BSF on August 28. He suspected that terrorists killed in Nagrota encounter would have used the same passage. He also believed that the recently recovered weapons near Qazigund might have been airdropped using drones in Samba sector.
