Kashmiri Pandit Attacked By Terrorists In Pulwama Region: J&K
In another attack on Kashmir Pandit incident, a bank security guard named Sanjay Sharma was shot dead. On February 26, terrorists fired upon him, leaving him critically wounded. He was admitted to a hospital in Pulwama but succumbed to his injuries, confirmed a senior police official. The deceased belonged to a minority group and has been identified as Sanjay Sharma, son of Kashinath Sharma, who worked at bank for 40-years.

3 LeT Terrorists Killed In Encounter With Security Forces: Jammu & Kashmir
Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Shopian district of Jammu & Kashmir, confirmed police on August 30. The encounter broke out after a search operation was launched on the basis of information about the presence of terrorists there. The slain terrorists were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT, a police spokesman said, adding the search operation was in progress.

Terrorists In Jammu & Kashmir's Bandipora Shoot Bihar Migrant Laborer
Terrorists opened fire on and injured one migrant laborer, Mohd Amrez, r/o Madhepura, Besarh, Bihar, in Soadnara Sumbal, Bandipora, during the intervening night. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he later passed away, according to Kashmir Zone Police on August 11. Mohd Amrez, who had been sent to a hospital for treatment, passed away from his injuries in Bandipora.

2 Militants In Jammu & Kashmir Surrender During Combat In Kulgam
Two local terrorists were captured following a standoff between security forces and terrorists in the Hadigam region of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on July 5. Police reported recovering "incriminating materials, weapons, and ammo." A joint team of police and security personnel received information about the presence of terrorists in that location before the incident began. The area was sealed off by security personnel.

Police SI Shot Dead By Terrorists In Pulwama, Body Found In Paddy Field: J&K
In South Kashmir's Pulwama district, the body of a police Sub-Inspector was found in the paddy fields in Pampore area, on June 18. The officer identified as Farooq Ah Mir, reportedly left home to work, when he was shot by terrorists with a pistol. Further details on the matter is awaited. Recently, a bank manager, woman teacher, TV actress were shot dead by terrorists in J&K, which created tensions.

2 LeT Terrorists Arrested In J&K's Baramulla; Arms & Ammunition Seized
In a joint operation in J&K's Baramulla, the Indian Army and J&K police arrested two terrorists from the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), on June 10. J&K Police Arrest 2 Hybrid Terrorists, Foil Plans To Attack Civilians
With the arrest of two hybrid terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front in J&K's Sopore, police confirmed that their plan to carry out attack on civilians has been foiled. Police seized from the possession, two pistols and magazines each and five pistol rounds. The arrest was made after two suspicious persons were asked to stop, when they tried to flee the spot.
