'No Plant In India Unless Govt Permits To Sell & Service Imported Cars', Hints Elon Musk
Elon Musk hinted that a manufacturing plant will not be set up in India unless Indian government gives permission to sell and service imported Tesla cars in the country. Earlier, minister Nitin Gadkari had stated, Tesla is welcome to manufacture and sell Tesla cars in India, however, importing Chinese-made cars and selling locally is not a good "proposition". Musk also raised concerns about "high duties" for imported vehicles in India.

Following the big decrease in Tesla shares on May 24, Elon Musk's net worth suffered a setback. Following Tesla's downfall, the tech tycoon lost $12 billion from his net worth last week. In the midst of a 7% decrease in Tesla share prices, Elon Musk fell outside the exclusive $200 billion club, reducing his net worth to $192.7 billion as per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Ford Motor Company Makes Fun Of Elon Musk & Tesla In New Ad Campaign
In a newly published YouTube advertisement, Ford Motor Company, an American manufacturer and one of the world's largest carmakers criticized Elon Musk and Tesla. The commercial ran during the Kentucky Derby, an annual horse event in the United States. "They fly away on their own personal spaceships when things get hard," the ad read. A Ford representative said the purpose of the commercial was to celebrate all employees.

SII CEO Adar Poonawalla Suggests Elon Musk To Invest In India For Tesla Manufacturing
Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla, on May 8, suggested Elon Musk to invest in India for Tesla manufacturing. Tagging the Tesla boss in the tweet, he wrote "do look at investing some of that capital in INDIA for high-quality large-scale manufacturing of @Tesla cars. I assure you this will be the best investment you'll ever make (sic).” Nitik Gadkari had earlier said that Musk was welcome to India.

Elon Musk To Temporarily Serve As Twitter CEO
Tesla boss Elon Musk may temporarily serve as the CEO of the micro-blogging site Twitter, following his purchase of the company. This comes amid speculations that Musk would fire Twitter' top lawyer Vijaya Gadde, and also replace the current Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal. Gadde was allegedly involved in the controversial decision to suspend then-US President Donald Trump's account. Musk has been publicly critical of her.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal said that the company's leading stakeholder Elon Musk, will not join the board of directors. Tesla CEO Musk, who also own the most stake in Twitter, was expected to officially be inducted into the board on April 9. However, Musk decided to take things differently. According to Agrawal, the board offered Musk a seat, hoping that he's the "path forward".

Elon Musk On Entering Indian Market: Says, Currently Negotiating With Indian Govt
Replying to a Twitter user who wished to know about the launch of Electric Vehicles in India, Elon Musk said that he is still working to negotiate with the Indian Government. The Government has asked them to elevate local procurement and share comprehensive information on manufacturing plans. Elon had earlier stated that India has heavy import duties and it treats clean energy vehicles the same as petrol.

Tesla Car's Autopilot Mode Helps Woman During Delivery: US
Yiran Sherry, a 33-year-old woman, gave birth to a girl in the front seat of a Tesla car in the US' Philadelphia. Reportedly, She was struck in traffic with her husband Keating Sherry and a three-year-old son Rafa when her water broke. However, Keating put the vehicle on autopilot mode for a nearby hospital but she delivered a daughter before reaching the hospital. They named her Maeve Lily.
