England Cricketer Katherine Brunt Retires From Test Cricket
Katherine Brunt, an all-rounder for England, revealed her retirement from Test cricket on June 18, after a 17-year, 162-day career. The 36-year-old made her Test debut against New Zealand in 2004 and played her final match in Canberra earlier this year against Meg Lanning's Australia. "I feel like as an athlete there is never an obvious time to step away from doing the thing that you love,” said Brunt.

Ajaz Patel Wins ICC Player Of Month Award For December 2021
New Zealand Cricketer Ajaz Patel on January 10 has been awarded ICC player of the month for December, following his 10-wicket haul against India. Ajaz was nominated for the award, as he became the only third player in test history, to pick 14 wickets in total in that match, including 10 in the first innings. Mumbai-born Ajaz made a fairy-tale comeback in his first-ever India tour with the Test team.

Bangladesh Beats New Zealand In Test Match For The 1st Time: Cricket
With seamer Edabot Hossain's six wickets, Bangladesh defeated New Zealand for the first time by eight wickets on January 5. New Zealand was dismissed for 169 early on day-five at Mount Maunganui and Bangladesh knocked off forty runs for the victory. "It was a great achievement for us, our first win out of Asia. We stuck to the process. We gave 110%. It feels great," said seamer Taskin Ahmad.

Quinton de Kock Announces Retirement From Test Cricket: South Africa
Former captain and wicketkeeper-batsman of South Africa team Quinton de Kock announced his retirement from Test cricket. As per the statement issued by Cricket South-Africa, De Kock intends to spend more time with his family, who played his last Test against India and scored 34 and 21 in the two innings. De Kock, however, said that he intends to continue playing white-ball cricket for South Africa.
