Heavy Storm 'Soaks' Northeast Of United States

An intensifying storm hit the densely populated Northeast part of the United States overnight, on October 27. The storm triggered massive flooding of roadways and traffic accidents. Authorities have posted upcoming storm warnings along several hundred miles of the Northeastern coastline of the country. Governors from New York, and New Jersey have also declared a state emergency, hours ahead of the storm which took place.

Raifall To Continue In Delhi-NCR For Few Hours Says IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on October 17 said light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms will continue for the next two hours in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad. The department also issued alerts for the showers over different cities in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh region. Reportedly, the rainfall will help to improve Delhi's air quality which has become 'very poor' due to stubble burning in the neighbouring states.

Heavy Rainfall Hits Delhi-National Capital Region Hard

Delhi-National Capital Region was flooded with heavy rainfall which led to the waterlogging of low-lying areas and to several areas being affected as well on July 19. The Heavy rainfall also led to traffic disruption as many vehicles were stuck due to waterlogging. Out of all the adjoining areas of Delhi-NCR, Gurugram was the affected the most as its roads now appear as a river.
